Our Daily Journey with God

I pray that they will all be one, just as You and I are one- as You are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us so that the word will believe You sent Me. [John 17:21]
Many years ago, my wife and I were to asked to serve on the Governor's Commission in the US for "The Year of the Family." I have no idea who recommended us, but it was a privilege that we gladly accepted. We were in a place to make an impact for Christian family values and we met some wonderful people.
On one occasion we were invited to a reception at the Governor's mansion. James Earl Jones (the actor with the powerful, deep voice of Darth Vader) was to be there. When we had received the letter of invitation, we were told that it would serve as our credentials. Without it we would not allowed in. When we arrived, we were asked to present the letter. We did, and the door was opened. Later, Shirley and I had our picture taken with Jones.
Credentials are much more important since the terrorist attacks on 9-11. Security is tight, and unless you have the right card or badge or ID, you won't get in!
The Sovereign Lord of all creation sits on His throne in heaven, and is far above all kings and rulers. One would think He would be unapproachable and that only a few would have access to Him- maybe archangels and the elders who surround His throne [Revelation 4-5]. Not so! You and I can enter His presence whenever we want. Through the avenue of prayer, we can walk right in anytime, day or night, and tell Him what's on our minds. By what means? We are "credentialed" through the Lord Jesus Christ. By God's grace and our faith, we are identified with Him. He gives us "highest privileged status." We are always welcome.
Yes, in our identification with Christ, we have credential power. Let's make sure wee use it often.
